SoFi is a digital personal finance company that started in student loan refinancing and expanded into a full banking and investment platform. Today SoFi offers student loans, mortgages, personal loans, a national bank (SoFi Bank), brokerage accounts, crypto trading, and financial planning. The company went public via SPAC in January 2021 and obtained a national bank charter in 2022, becoming one of the few fintech companies to hold a full banking license.
