Sygaldry Technologies

Public
Sygaldry Technologies is pioneering a new category of computing infrastructure: quantum-accelerated AI servers that combine quantum processors with classical chips inside standard data centers. Founded in 2024 by Chad Rigetti (founder of Rigetti Computing), Idalia Friedson, and AI scientist Michael Keiser, Sygaldry emerged from Y Combinator's Spring 2025 batch and is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company's thesis: the energy intensity of training large-scale AI models is on an unsustainable trajectory — and quantum computing, purpose-built for AI workloads, can provide exponential speedups at a fraction of the power and cost of GPUs alone. Sygaldry's architecture integrates multiple qubit types within a single fault-tolerant system designed to accelerate critical AI algorithms. Rather than replacing classical compute, Sygaldry treats quantum as an accelerator layer alongside existing infrastructure — giving AI teams quantum capabilities through standard research tools and APIs. Chad Rigetti brings deep quantum hardware experience from founding Rigetti Computing (NASDAQ: RGTI) through a SPAC in 2022. The $105M Series A in March 2026 was led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures (Bill Gates' climate fund), following a $34M seed from Initialized Capital. Total raised: $139M. Investors include Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, IQT, Morpheus Ventures, 468 Capital, Rock Yard Ventures, and the University of Michigan.
