Required disclosure under FTC 16 C.F.R. Part 255: TechStackIPO participates in referral programs with pre-IPO investment platforms. When you click certain links on our site and subsequently create an account or complete an investment, we may receive a referral commission from the partner platform. These commissions help fund our research and data operations.

All referral links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML, consistent with Google's guidelines for affiliate and sponsored content. You will typically be redirected through a URL like /api/referral/redirect/[partner]/[company] before reaching the partner's website.

💡 How Referral Fees Work

When you click a "Invest in [Company] Pre-IPO Shares" button on TechStackIPO:

Your click is logged anonymously in our system (no personal information captured — IP addresses are hashed, no names or emails stored).
You are redirected to the partner platform with our affiliate tracking parameter appended.
If you complete an account registration or investment on the partner platform, we may receive a referral commission from the partner.
The commission does not change the price you pay on the partner platform. You pay the same price whether you arrive via TechStackIPO or directly.

We only show referral CTAs for companies where the partner platform has verified listings. We do not show generic affiliate links to platforms that do not carry a specific company's shares.

🏛️ Editorial Independence

Our referral partnerships do not influence our editorial content, analysis, valuations, or IPO readiness scores. A company's inclusion in our database is based solely on its size, stage, and relevance to public market investors — not on whether a referral partner carries its shares.

Specifically:

We do not give favorable coverage to companies because their shares are available on partner platforms.
We do not suppress negative analysis of companies where we earn referral fees.
IPO readiness scores, valuation estimates, and risk assessments are produced independently of any commercial relationships.
Partners have no editorial approval rights over our content.

Pre-IPO investments are highly speculative and illiquid. Only invest what you can afford to lose entirely.

Key risks of pre-IPO investing you should understand before proceeding:

Illiquidity: Pre-IPO shares cannot be easily sold. You may be unable to exit your position for years, or at all.
Valuation uncertainty: The valuations shown on TechStackIPO are estimates based on the most recent funding rounds and public information. They are not guaranteed, and actual IPO valuations may differ substantially.
Company risk: Private companies can fail, pivot, be acquired below current valuations, or delay/cancel their IPO indefinitely.
Information asymmetry: Private companies have far fewer disclosure obligations than public ones. You are investing with less information than you would have for a public company.
Dilution: Future funding rounds may dilute your stake.
Lock-up periods: Even after an IPO, secondary market shares may be subject to lock-up restrictions that prevent immediate sale.

Accredited investor requirements: All referral partners we work with require investors to meet the SEC's definition of an accredited investor (generally: $1M+ net worth excluding primary residence, or $200K+ annual income for two consecutive years with expectation of the same in the current year). You are responsible for verifying your eligibility before investing.

📊 What Data We Collect on Referral Clicks

We collect the following anonymous data when you click a referral link:

Which partner platform and company the click was for
The source page (which TechStackIPO page you were on)
A hashed (anonymized) version of your IP address — the actual IP is not stored
Timestamp of the click
UTM parameters if present in your current URL

We do not collect: your name, email address, actual IP address, or any personally identifiable information. Click data is used solely to measure which companies and pages drive the most referral interest, and to calculate commission reporting.
